Ms Kay Chapman

After graduating from Durham University, Kay taught Geography in secondary schools in the South East for 11 years before moving to Cornwall. She taught at Bodmin College before joining the Humanities team at Truro College, first as a lecturer then as Deputy Team Leader. As well as teaching and education management, Kay has experience in the examination system as an A-Level Principal Examiner. In 2010 Kay moved into initial teacher training at Plymouth University, a role that involves working with schools all over Cornwall and Devon. Kay is research active, working on her own Geography education research project.

Mr Bob Egerton

After graduating from Cambridge in 1969, Bob spent 17 years working for Esso Petroleum, mainly in London. Bob then ran his own printing business in Plymouth for 13 years before joining Truro College in its Business Centre in 2000. He left the college in 2006 but continued with some freelance business advice work with them for a few more years.

Mr Rob Gasson

Rob is an experienced CEO with extensive board room and trustee experience as both a CEO and trustee. He has worked in education for over 25 years; the last 17 as an Executive Headteacher and CEO. Rob holds a Masters Degrees in Economics and Education Management and has worked extensively with pupils who exhibit challenging behaviour and those who are unable to access school due to their health across the whole school age range. He has contributed to a number of policy groups both regionally and nationally in this area and is a passionate advocate of inclusion.

Mr Paul Grayston

For the past 24 years Paul has worked for a large house building company as a Site Manager across Devon and Cornwall, working on speculative and social housing developments of between 12 and 450 units. He spent a few years in Dubai and Oman when he left school training as a motor mechanic.

Miss Alex Stainer

Alex has experience at governor level across a number of education settings in Cornwall, and has transitioned into supporting Boards across the primary and secondary education sectors for the past five years, providing advice on governance matters and ensuring board compliance.

Alex has previously worked in operations at a local college; in HR; as a librarian and in the food manufacturing industry. Alex has a degree in Philosophy with History of Art and a postgraduate diploma in Information and Library Management.
